YOUR VISIT

The Location

Abuja, Nigeria’s capital and administrative center, is one of Africa’s most well-planned cities. Chosen for its central location and neutrality, it officially became the capital in 1991, replacing Lagos. Known for its serene environment, Abuja features iconic landmarks like Aso Rock, the National Mosque, and the National Christian Centre. The city is home to major government institutions, foreign embassies, and international organizations.

Surrounded by scenic rocky hills and green landscapes, Abuja blends modern urban living with cultural diversity. Its key districts – Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse, and Garki – host upscale residences, luxury hotels, and vibrant commercial activity, while fast-growing satellite towns like Kubwa and Gwagwalada add to its expanding population, estimated at over 4 million (World Population Review, 2020).
